Low Floor Vans
The most common reason to lower the floor of a van is to allow the person in the wheelchair to be at the correct height to see out the window. Also, this allows the ability to drive while sitting in the chair. A lowered floor is preferred by many to a raised roof because of better looks, increased road-handling, garage-ability and improved mileage. Height and size requirements may be large enough that we may combine a raised roof with a lowered floor. |

Low Floor Mini Vans
Minivans represent the best solution to many of our clients' needs. Their appearance, fuel economy, ease of service and their handling on the road is enhanced by the lower center of gravity by virtue of the 10" to 12" floor drop. Although you may at first be concerned with ground clearance, within the first week of driving you will realize these fears are groundless! |

Currently the Ford E-Series 150, 250, and 350 are the only vans that pass CMVSS testing for 4", 6" or 8" floor lowering. For anyone who needs lots of space and who still require a low floor, this is the best choice!
Several interiors with personalized cosmetic features are available, including TVs, VCRs, stereos, wood accents, direct and indirect lighting, window-coverings, sofa beds, commodes, and almost anything else you prefer. |

Astro/Safari
This mid-sized van has proven to be a favourite with many KINO clients. The in-floor lift has helped many transfer to a seat without further modifications. A raised roof and door with remote access and a more traditional lift may be needed, however. |
